Larry Leasure
Larry operated White-Leasure Development Company for over 30 years providing a sophisticated network of results-oriented commercial real estate services. Larry has developed over 100 commercial properties representing projects throughout the West as well as clients across the United States. He is a trusted real estate executive with expertise in the development of commercial real estate, from land acquisition and pre-development services to construction consulting, marketing, and management. His work has included many different forms of development from regional malls, neighborhood shopping centers, hotels, arenas including urban redevelopment, Larry has made a significant mark in the Mountain West region as a retail developer delivering dynamic new development or offering build-to-suit services for major national retail tenants. He is nationally recognized as an industry leader and has partnered with other national developers, cities, and non-profit organizations to deliver meaningful properties
Michael Thomas
TIC Capital was founded by Michael Thomas in 2005. As Chief Investment Officer, he sponsored over $1.5 billion in private equity investments through private placement memorandums and direct real estate acquisitions across multifamily, assisted living, retail, office, hotel, industrial, and mixed-use properties. TIC Capital was a proven sponsor focused on building generational wealth for its clients. Notably, the firm continued paying investor distributions during the 2008 recession, when many sponsors did not. The team specialized in acquiring, developing, and repositioning assets in response to evolving economic and demographic trends, including targeted mall redevelopment. Its investment strategy emphasized a diversified, risk-averse portfolio across multiple property types, including single-family homes, multifamily, senior housing, office, industrial, retail, hospitality, and land development. TIC Capital was committed to developing high-potential properties while serving as responsible stewards of its assets. The firm prioritized community-focused, pedestrian-friendly environments and integrated mixed-use spaces that enhanced tenant retention and drove stronger long-term returns.
Edward de Avila
Ed built a career creating, reimagining, and delivering complex mixed-use retail developments that enhanced the value and vitality of places. Over 30 years, he worked with teams to develop vibrant environments through consumer research, strategic planning, merchandising, and experiential design. He has a nationwide track record across notable mixed-use retail properties, with expertise in planning, entitlement, leasing, and development. His experience spans both ground-up development and repositioning of established destinations, with a focus on aligning market demand, consumer behavior, and experience-driven design to increase revenue and long-term value. Ed led strategy and execution for projects including Reston Town Center, South Coast Plaza, and Country Club Plaza. Earlier in his career, he co-founded and served as Managing Director of AMC’s subsidiary, Centertainment, partnering with regional developers on urban and suburban entertainment centers. He later co-founded Village Partners and served as CEO for 10 years, leading mixed-use infill developments in Southern California. He secured entitlements for major projects including the Power & Light District, Country Club Plaza, and the former White Flint Mall, a 9-block, 5 million square foot redevelopment in Bethesda, Maryland. He also led comprehensive strategic plans for mixed-use developments and mall redevelopments across the country, from Boston to California.
